I am trying to restore a database that used to be on a SQL 2000 server, it has since moved to a 2005 server but no changes have been made to the DB since the move. When I try to back it up and restore it to a SQL 2000 box I get an error about to many devices. I know I can always script it and recreate it, and I can export and import the data. But for future reference wanted to know if anyone knew of a way to do this? Thanks

Everything I have read say's you cant get there from here. You cannot backup a SQL 2005 database and restore it to SQL 2000. Microsoft changed it enough that SQL 2000 just does not like it.
